I have just purchased a Astone ISO GEAR 481E 3.5" ESATA USB2 Case and it will not recognizing the drive i am using (1TB WD Green, nothing wrong with the drive) it initialized the drive and i was able to format it, after5 minutes i was no longer able to see the drive and i heard it keep on rebooting and spinning up/power down loop.

do NOT buy this product! I want my $35 i payed for it back already!

I am hoping the following email to Astone will prompt some action

Best of luck to those who also have problems with this case.

Dear Astone Australia, i purchased one of your Astone ISO GEAR 481E 3.5" SATA HDD Enclosures and it is not a reliable nor usable product, it keeps on rebooting the hardrive and is not even recognized under BIOS or Windows, i am very dissatisfied with its quality!

I am also suprised how many users are on your forums also have the same issue(s) i am having.

Been a Professional IT Technician i am appalled with this product, i request that you swap my unit for a
Astone ISO GEAR SL300 3.5" USB2.0 eSATA Compact External HDD Black.

I do NOT want my unit repaired or replaced i want a different model as it is evident something is technically wrong with your product, if you do not wish to exchange, i shall request a full refund of $35 which is what a payed for the product.

Awaiting your reply,
Sean

Dear Astone

Following along with Sean and Adam84, I to would like to register a complaint and request some action regarding the 481E HDD case. I've just put together a new computer, running Windows 7, and the eSATA connection will not be recognized at all and hangs the computer, and the USB connection has to be restarted each time Windows is booted.
Can anything be done to correct these matters or will you replace the case with a model that works?

To all considering the Astone 481E case, do some reading online and avoid this product.

Hi all,

I have just purchased the ISO 481E with 1.5TB HDD in it.

My HP laptop does not have any issues recognizing the Astone HDD but when I tried to transfer some movie files from my Seagate FreeAgent 250GB drive over to the Astone, it says some of the files are too large to be transferred.

Any idea why this is so as I have tons of disk space on this new Astone drive and I do not see why my Seagate will hold it while the Astone is not able to.

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Warmest regards,

Lance
