3 Coordinating Outfit Ideas for Couples, Styled by Me and Joe

A part of me doesn’t like to admit this, but my husband, Joe, is a better dresser than me.

Not only does he have great taste, but he also likes experimenting with his wardrobe. He has fun getting dressed.

When we go out he usually asks, “What are we going to wear?” I used to think this was a little silly, but I realized this is his way of figuring out the vibe. Oftentimes, I look to him to figure out what I’m going to wear because he’s done the homework! Every so often, we accidentally coordinate (not “match,” mind you) and it’s really fun to do.

We thought this post would be a fun way to explore a few coordinating outfit ideas from Huckberry, one of Joe’s go-to’s for his wardrobe. No plans for Saturday night? This might be a fun activity for a couple to do in their closets. Or, if your partner isn’t really into clothes, this might be useful in the future when considering what to purchase for them.

Look #1

Both of these outfits are head-to-toe staples, making them versatile and easy to mix and match. We could wear them around the house for a day of hanging with the kids or to have a date night just the two of us.

Look #2

Both of these outfits would be great for relaxed day-to-night looks. We could take the kids to the park or meet friends for drinks. We aren’t necessarily coordinating colors, but the vibes are the same.

Look #3

These are the perfect outfits for a casual spring day spent going out to lunch or running to the farmers’ market. I love that the colors coordinate well, but no one would ever know we planned it.
