ALÉMAIS x Le Specs Luxe’s second drop just landed and it is the sunglasses collab everyone will be wearing next

There is a moment, usually mid-morning, when your outfit is technically fine but emotionally flat. Jeans, shirt, maybe a blazer if you are feeling optimistic.

And then you put on a pair of sunglasses that actually do something, and suddenly you are no longer just dressed. You are a person with a point of view.

That is essentially the promise of the new ALÉMAIS x Le Specs Luxe drop, which returned this week with the quiet confidence of a collaboration that already knows it will sell.

The first release last October had that blink-and-it-is-gone energy. The kind that leaves you refreshing tabs and texting friends things like “wait did you get them?”

This second drop feels more self-aware. Same silhouettes, but with a shift in mood that makes them feel new again rather than just repeated.

The pairing itself still feels right. ALÉMAIS has built a reputation on clothes that feel like they belong somewhere warmer, more interesting, slightly removed from your daily routine.

Le Specs, on the other hand, has spent decades perfecting the art of making sunglasses people actually want to wear, not just admire.

Together, the result sits in that sweet spot between statement and ease.

The update this time comes down to colour, but not in an obvious way.

Sage Green is soft and wearable but still different enough to feel like a decision.

Obsidian leans glossy and a little bit dramatic, the pair you reach for when you want to look more intentional than you feel.

Tortoiseshell is the familiar one, but even that has been reworked so it feels less safe, more considered.

Then there are the shapes, which is really where things get interesting.

Lucia is the sharp cat-eye that somehow manages to look both vintage and very now. It has a slightly sculptural edge that makes everything else you are wearing feel more styled.

Celestina is oversized in a way that feels deliberate, not overwhelming.

It is the frame equivalent of committing to the look. And Lunar, slimmer and slightly upswept, taps into that minimalist, early 2000s silhouette that has been creeping back into fashion without anyone fully announcing it.

What stands out most is the texture. The acetate is layered and pressed to create these fluid, almost marbled patterns, so each pair is a little bit different.

It is subtle, but it changes the experience of wearing them. They feel less like something mass-produced and more like something you found.

Lesleigh Jermanus, who co-founded ALÉMAIS, has talked about travel as a constant reference point, and you can see that woven through the collection.

These are not sunglasses for sitting still. They are for days that start with a coffee and somehow end near water, even if that was not the original plan.

Le Specs brings the grounding element. Founded in Sydney in 1979, the brand has always had that effortless, slightly undone Australian sensibility.

The fact that its frames regularly show up on people like Rihanna, Beyoncé, Suki Waterhouse and Kendall Jenner only reinforces the idea that these are not just trend pieces. They are part of a larger fashion conversation.

And then, unexpectedly, the packaging becomes part of the appeal.

A striped outer box, a deep burgundy interior, gold foil details. It feels considered, like something you would keep rather than throw away.

Which, in a small way, adds to the sense that you are buying something with a bit of longevity.

All of this lands at a time when fashion feels like it is loosening up again.

There is less interest in playing it safe, more interest in pieces that add personality without requiring a full wardrobe overhaul. Sunglasses, conveniently, do exactly that.

You can wear the same outfit you wore yesterday. Just add a pair of these, and it reads differently.

The only real issue is timing. It is a limited-edition drop, which means hesitation tends to lead to regret. If the first release was anything to go by, these will not hang around waiting for you to decide.

And honestly, they do not need to.
